Our organization
The German Speaking Society Kuala Lumpur (GSSKL) is a community for everyone who speaks German or wants to learn it – right in the heart of Malaysia. We bring together people who are interested in exchange, culture, and a piece of home.
You'll quickly find your place here: new friends, cherished traditions, and plenty of shared experiences. From sundowner get-togethers and excursions to family celebrations and the grand Christmas bazaar, there are many opportunities to participate, discover, and celebrate.
Our community works closely with embassies, schools, churches, the Goethe-Institut, and other partners. This allows us to offer you not only a network, but also guidance and support for everyday life in Malaysia.
In short: The GSSKL is your anchor point in Kuala Lumpur for community, culture and lots of fun.
Our Mission
We are more than just a community: Together we want to give something back. Through our charity activities, we support organizations in Malaysia that are doing amazing work – from educational projects to environmental protection.
In this way, we contribute to strengthening our host country and passing on good things. Because for us, community means not only celebrating together, but also sharing responsibility.
The Board
The board consists of seven members who work on a voluntary basis for the GSSKL.
